We try to run regular sea and river trips, though these are obviously weather & water dependent. During the summer sessions we run Star Test training and assessment sessions.  We have a number of instructors who can assess up to 3* BCU. We also organise training days for Canoe Safety, White Water Safety, Sea Kayaking Safety, First Aid and Coach Development.

During the year we run trips to Llangollen, the Tryweryn, the Teifi, the Tyne, the Dart, the Wye and other local rivers such as the Vrynwy, Clywedog, Conwy and Llugwy. We also have many sea trips round Anglesey, Conwy, Hilbre Island and also to Windermere and Ullswater in the Lakes. We try and run two club weekends away each year, based in bunkhouses in South Wales, North Wales, Devon, the Lakes or Scotland.

The main aim of the Club is to get like-minded paddlers together for fun trips and to encourage people to enjoy canoeing. We are mainly recreational as the other local canoe club, Chester Canoe and Sailing Club, provides competitive paddling in White Water racing and Marathon racing.

We hope this information is helpful to you and that we can offer what you are looking for in canoeing. More information can be found on the website, or obtained by contacting info@devacanoeclub.org.uk.
